A resident from eMalahleni went to pick up his cousin in the Central Business District (CBD) and instead of picking him up he was picked up by armed men.

On Saturday, June 10 at about 00:30 Mr T. Ngwamba alleged that he drove down to Rodgers Street to pick up his cousin next to a fast food stall.

When he arrived at the destination his cousin was no where to be seen, Ngwamba decided to wait for him.
While waiting inside his white Volkswagen Polo he heard a knock on the driver’s window and saw two unknown men knocking on the door.

The suspects then opened the drivers’ door and told Ngwamba to climb out of the vehicle; he refused so they forcefully dragged him out and placed him in the back seat.

They then drove off with him seated in the back of the car at gun point.

According to Ngwamba at one point they stopped next to a field, they searched him and took both his cell phones and his wallet.

The suspects then started arguing about shooting Ngwamba and while they were arguing he jumped out of the vehicle and ran away.

The suspects never gave chase and the vehicle was recovered in Daveyton.
