Polo ploughs into palisades

The driver of a Volkswagen Polo lost control of the vehicle and collided with the palisade walling on the Klarinet Road.

The driver of a Volkswagen Polo lost control of the vehicle and collided with the palisade walling on the Klarinet Road.

The accident took place on June 9 at about 01:00 when Mr Sipho Ngubeni (47), the driver of the grey Polo, allegedly lost control of the vehicle and went over the curb of the road and rolled his vehicle into the cement palisades alongside the road.


The accident scene, days after a car drove into the cement palisade.

According to reports he wasn’t able to speak to police on scene.

“He sustained multiple injuries, we transported him to Life Cosmos for further treatment,” said Mr Phillip du Plessis, Legacy Ambulance Services paramedic.

“The accident occurred roughly a kilometre down the road after the split to the Verena Road,” added Du Plessis.

Ngubeni, who was admitted to casualty, was later transferred to a hospital in Pretoria for further treatment and could not be contacted for comment.
