The funeral tool place on Saturday, May 6 in Verena, a packed out Marque tent was filled with fellow students and family members of the 16 students.

On Sunday, May 7 two other children were laid to rest in a separate funeral.
These students were only laid to rest now after the DNA process was finalised as some of the students were burnt beyond recognition.


The accident scene on the R25 that claimed the life of one adult and 19 school children on April 21.

The driver of the minibus and the general worker from the school that also died in the accident were buried shortly after the accident.

The accident occurred on Friday afternoon, April 21 when a minibus transporting school children collided with a truck and burst into flames on the R25 road between Bronkhorstspruit and Verena.

The scholars went to school in Gauteng but they resided in Mpumalanga.
