An accident on the Clewer road, left two people seriously injured.

Shortly before 20:00 on Monday, May 1 a red Mercedes Benz collided with a truck. According to the truck driver, the Mercedes attempted to overtake another vehicle, and was in the lane of the oncoming traffic. This was when the Mercedes and truck collided, leaving the Mercedes heavily damaged. The Mercedes was allegedly driving from Clewer, while the truck was coming from the opposite direction.

Mr Dino Padayachee, Chief Executive Officer of Langamed Emergency Management, stated on Tuesday, May 2 that they reacted to this accident and added;

“Langamed Paramedics treated one person that sustained severe injuries to his right leg and his head. Langamed Paramedics treated, stabilised and transported the injured person to Witbank General Hospital for further treatment.”

He added that JD Med treated and transported the other patient who sustained head injuries, to Witbank General Hospital for further treatment.
