Gospel group to hold a concert

Amadodana Wemvuselelo are a lively male gospel group (the traditional sisidodana genre) formed and based in Phola, Ogies, with their current footprint across various regions within South Africa.

“We have a long presence in the arena of traditional male gospel music (Isidodana), for just over 14 years. We have been working with communities in and around eMalahleni, local churches, social organisations and most of all, comforting bereaving families.

“Therefore, we feel our readiness to reach out to the wider audience by recording our harmonies and thrilling voices of worship into a CD audio for public consumption, to continue bringing people in the presence of the Lord,” reads a statement from the group.

“In light of the above and in our efforts to raise sufficient funding to cover the costs and expenses relating to the recording, marketing and distribution of an album (CD), we intend to stage a mega-concert on March 30 at Phola Community Hall to raise funds.

During the concert we also prepare our current audience for the CD which we have yet to release, thus attracting more broader audience and expose ourselves to the prominent and reputable players in the recording fraternity,” added the spokesperson.
