Crime awareness campaigners held

Crime awareness campaigns were held at Empumelelweni and at Hlanikahle in Extension on Wednesday, March 15.
At Empumelweni they were addressed by sector manager Captain Maroro Mkasi, Captain Victor Ngcobo and Vosman CPF chairperson Mr David Makgetloa looks on.

Community members raised different issues during the third meeting. The meeting resolved to take action against crime in their area. They highlighted problems areas like shacks without owners, open spaces, burglary, rapes, high jacking, gunshots heard during the night and other related issues.

Recently a suspect was beaten to death after he was found with a hijacked car at Empumelelweni.
They said enough is enough and they want to take action. Communities were encouraged to report criminal activities in their areas and not to take the law into their own hands.

At Hlalaikahle Extension 3 the community was addressed by Vosman Police Station communication officer Captain Klass Maloka who was later joined by sector manager Captain Maroro Mkasi, sector manager Captain Victor Ngcobo and Vosman CPF chairperson Mr David Makgetloa.

In the same meeting different crime related issues were raised and addressed while members of Hlalanikahle CPF also attended the meeting
