Meeting still on

The community I staking a stand and making their voices heard in a public meeting this afternoon.
The meeting is scheduled for 17:00 to 17:30 at the Puma Stadium.

Mr Boitemelo Madiba, who created the Fcabeookpage ‘Emalahleni Residents against Emalahleni Municipality’said
he spoke with Eskom’s General Manager of Mpumalanga Unit Mrs Phil Khumalo and the following point were touched on,

“She agreed that she would put the Eskom committee in place that would engage with the steering committee that would be appointed by the community this afternoon. Ms Khumalo also said she is waiting for the municipality to make a payment to avoid resumption of power interruptions,” said Madiba.

Madiba pointed out that this meeting is purely set up for the residents and they have no association with any political party.

“Let us not wear any political regalia but be in our civil clothes so that we can foster unity without advancing our political formations which are prone for opportunism.”
