Murder accused Mahlobo and Ndaba have been denied bail and remains in custody

They appeared yet again on Friday, January 20. The pair face charges of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

Sithembiso Mike Ndaba and Ayanda Mahlobo were arrested on December 29, 2016 at Kriel, suspected to have been involved in the murder of a Department of Public Works employee Mr Rofhiwa Tshifhango’s and the attempted murder of Tshifhango’s colleague Mr Mandla Mahlangu.

Ndaba and Mahlobo both aged 24 on the evening of Monday, November 28, 2016 went into Tshifhango’s (38) house finding him in the company of his colleague Mahlangu (32). Tshifhango and Mahlangu were taken to Spitzkop Farm where Tshifhango was allegedly strangled to death by a rope and Nkosi was shot several times and left for dead.

The men were found the following day where Tshifhango was found lifeless and Nkosi was still alive and taken to hospital for medical attention.

Investigations are still on-going and they will appear in court again on February 24.
