On Thursday morning, December 15 the body of a lifeless man was found on the gravel road from the Jackaroo Park intersection and Blanchville area.

Other people who made their way to work, walked passed the body and were shocked as they waited for the police and paramedics to arrive on scene.

Once the paramedics arrived on scene, they checked for vital signs but there were none and he was declared dead.
By Monday, December 19 the man had been identified as Mr Daniel Jeremia Matentshe (51-years-old).

Matenshe lived in eMalahleni and has three children, the cause of death was not yet determined.

“He just fell, we think it was a heart attack as he was walking to work,” said Mr Lukas Mmizwe, his nephew.

“My uncle was a good person, he really cared about his family and he worked hard. He has two children,” continued Mmizwe.

Just two days before Christmas the family will lay Matenshe to rest. His funeral will be held on Friday, December 23 in Limpopo.
