A 60-year-old woman was found dead in her garage at her home in Clewer.
On December 7 Mr Sipho Skhosana arrived at his mother-in-law’s house in Clewer only to find her lying dead in the garage.
She had allegedly been poisoned as Skhosana explained to police that she had bled from the mouth and nose. Skhosana also noted to police that the sliding door as well as a number of windows to the house was left open. On the kitchen table stood a glass, and a bottle of Domestos and a bottle of Pine Gel.
The mother-in-law’s silver Volkswagen Polo had been taken from the garage and according to Skhosana’s statement to police, was seen being driven by the daughter.
Further investigations into the house revealed a pile of clothing stacked on top of the daughter’s bed, as well as an open bag.
Vosman Police Intelligence Team took up the murder case and through investigation followed the culprits to Phalaborwa where they arrested a 35-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, police also recovered the stolen Volkswagen Polo.
The arrest and recovery took place on December 12, further investigations are underway.
The man and woman are set to appear before the Witbank Magistrates Court on December 28.
