Two left dead after accident
“My heart is aching and I am so deeply hurt but may these boys rest in peace.”
Not even the sound of cars passing by could cover up the cries of a group of people that just lost two of their family members and friends.
On December 3 a horrific accident took place on the Zaaihoek Road near Leeuwpoort. It is alleged that a Nissan collided with a Ford Ranger that was heading towards eMalahleni.
It was said by the driver of the Ford, Mr Sibongokuhle Buthelezi that the Nissan was heading the opposite way when he saw the oncoming car starting to swerve and swirl over the road. He further said that he tried to avoid connection with the oncoming car that was heading forward with a high speed and losing control but unfortunately did not succeed.

Emergency services rushed to the scene where they declared the two occupants of the Nissan dead while two of the occupants in the Ford were rushed to Cosmos Life Hospital with serious injuries.
“It was both my children that were injured. My daughter just underwent an operation due to a broken jaw she got in the accident but my son is already discharged. I can just be thankful that they are still with me, as for me, I did not get injured,” Buthelezi said blessed.
On the accident scene one of the family members of the two deceased boys that is alleged to be brothers said,
“My heart is aching and I am so deeply hurt but may these boys rest in peace.”

The tragic scene where two vehicles collided. The accident left two people injured and two were declared dead on scene, December 3.
“It was one of the saddest scenes I have seen in a long while,” a paramedic from Legacy, Phillip du Plessis said.
The Legacy team did not leave the scene before everyone was stabilized and gave every family member and friend of the deceased a shoulder to cry on.
“It scares me that I can not find a contact number or just a name of the family that lost two of their most precious belongings,” Buthelezi sadly concluded.
