The shack which is adjacent to an RDP house burned in the early hours of Tuesday, November 15 at about 06:00.
According to a report from the police the occupant of the house, a man, was believed to have been smoking and after that the shack took flame and burned down. Neighbours confirmed that they saw smoke coming out of the shack and they helped to put out the fire which had already burned part of the shack and the items inside. A mattress was burned as well as clothes and wardrobe was burned too.

The extent of the damaged caused by the fire could not be estimated as the man was taken by an ambulance to hospital. The neighbours also confirmed that the man had burns on his arm.
