Two prisoners that were sentenced to life imprisonment managed to escape from Paxton Correctional Services.
On Sunday, November 20 at 17:15 the two prisoners Linda Michael Cele and Mduduzi Isaac Nkosi made their escape out of their cells.

At about 15:00 Cele and Nkosi went to the exercise yard for a while, once they were done they were sent back to their cells. When the guard returned to the cells to see if everything was in order, the guard noticed that the cell seemed emptier than normal.

He then counted the inmates, as there were definitely two inmates missing from the cell, he quickly checked the exercise yard when he noticed that the overhead beams were bent.

Cele and Nkosi escaped through the overhead beams by using a blanket and they made their own gloves to get over the razor fence.

The guards then gave chase of the two suspects, until Pine Ridge Road where they got into a silver vehicle and drove off.
On July 28, two inmates also escaped from Paxton Correctional Services.
The inmates Mduduzi Johnson Khubheka and Vusimuzi Geraald Skosana wrestled with a female official and escaped through the main gate of the perimeter fence.

The two drove off with another official’s car, which was later found abandoned after it went into a ditch.
The vehicle’s keys were still in the ignition and a cell phone was left in the vehicle.
