At the end of November and beginning of December everyone will be honouring the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against women and children.
It’s an international awareness campaign to raise awareness regarding the issue of violence against women and children.
On Thursday, November 10 a man appeared briefly in Witbank Magistrate Court in Regional court on charges of rape.
It’s alleged that the man raped a 13- year-old girl.
The case has been postponed until November 30 where the case will continue if the accused has everything in place.
He still needs to pay his lawyer the remaining balance.
Since October three minors have been raped, two teenagers and two adults have been raped in the eMalahleni area.
These are the rape cases that have been reported to the Witbank Police Station.
