Come have some laughs with of SA’s top funny men
Two of South Africa’s fastest-rising young comedians, David Kibuuka and Dusty Rich, come together for an evening of unbridled hysterics.
Both notable comedians in their own right, the pair will collaborate for the first time in this one-night-only show on Thursday, March 27 at The Ridge.
“As promised, The Ridge will be bringing some of the country’s most sought-after comedians to eMalahleni in 2014. David and Dusty are among the long list of funny
men we will be bringing to our stage this year.
“For stomach-crunching- laughter and a jolly good time,
don’t miss our comedy event,” said The Ridge Marketing Manager, Ms Thapelo Modise.
She urges comedy fans to book soon as tickets are limited. Tickets cost R120 per person and are available at The Ridge Customer Service desk. The show will take place at Movies @The Ridge at 19:00. Doors will open early at 18:00.
David is one of South Africa’s top young comedians, with a unique brand of humour that combines fast wit and intellect. He’s been on the local comedy scene for over seven years and has shared the stage with some of South Africa’s comedy greats including John Vlismas, Barry Hilton, Kagiso Lediga, Riaad Moosa and David Kau, as well as a cluster of international comedy acts in the first Kingsize Comedy Festival.
Dusty has catapulted to fame on the country’s comedy circuit with frequent tours to all the major and minor cities of South Africa, and performing at all the big festivals including Splashy Fen, White Mountain Festival, Rocking the daisies, Synergy, Grahams Town Arts Festival.
His talent was formally recognized in 2012 when he won the Durban leg of the Graca Comedy Showdown, and was chosen to perform alongside international peers at the Nando’s International Comedy Festival. He too has shared the stage with top funny men including Trevor Noah.
