What should have been a quiet Sunday afternoon turned into a tragedy when four people got into a bad accident where two people were declared dead on scene.

On October 23 a white Chana truck was travelling on the N12 highway, heading to eMalahleni. It was alleged that the driver lost control over the vehicle on a sharp curve on the highway. The vehicle over turned leaving the driver and one of the occupants lifeless.

Emergency services rushed to the scene where the paramedics declared that two ladies sustained fatal injuries to the head, neck and back and were declared dead on scene.

The CEO (Chief Executive Officer) from Langamed Ambulance Services, Mr Dino Padayachee said,

“one lady sustained severe injuries to the head, neck, back, facial and extremities. She was treated, stabilised and transported to Witbank Hospital by Langamed paramedics.”

The names of the two ladies that passed on was not yet available to WITBANK NEWS before going to print because of further forensic investigation.

“A young boy also involved in the accident was treated and transported to the same hospital in eMalahleni by ER24 paramedics,” Padayachee concluded.
