A bizarre turn of events befell three alleged car thieves when they lost their lives in a collision while driving an alleged stolen car.

A bizarre turn of events befell three alleged car thieves when they lost their lives in a collision while driving an alleged stolen car.

The collision occurred at the infamous T-junction leading into Ga-Nala from the Bethal road.
The vehicle that was reported stolen in Gauteng overturned with the three occupants inside.
Apparently two of the occupants died on the scene and the third was rushed to hospital by emergency services.

He later passed away in hospital from his injuries. A case of culpable homicide was opened at Kriel SAPS however the investigation into the matter is ongoing. They stated that no further details can be given due to the nature of the incident. None of the deceased have yet been identified.

The scene of the collision has been the site of many other serious accidents, even the narrow road linking eMalahleni and Ga-nala is a hotspot for collision. Recently the Kriel SAPS attended two separate incidents on May 14 where one collision caused the death of a Hilux driver and another died in an accident involving a Hyundai Accent.
