Murder case opened after a suspect allegedly shot at officials

A house owner who is believed to be a policeman allegedly shot two officials from the sheriff’s office and the other a policeman then turned the gun on himself.

Update:

For the police force it comes as sad news that Warrant Officer A.L. Mphahlele died in Life Cosmos Hospital.
Warrant Office Mphahlele was one of the three shot on Wednesday, March 23 at about 09:00 in Vosman before the gunman turned the gun on himself.

The police have opened up two cases, one for murder and another for attempted murder after a house owner who is a police official shot at officials.

Original Story:

According to a police report, officials from the sheriff’s office had an evictions order against the suspect and they were escorted by police. It is believed that after they knocked at the door and got no response they went ahead to try other means to open the locked door. It also believed that the suspect was inside the house. While they were trying to open the door he came out and allegedly shot at the officials. One was shot in the head, one shot in the chest while the other was shot in arm. The suspect allegedly shot himself in the mouth.

The incident happened in KwaGuqa Extension 7 on Wednesday, March 23 at about 09:00. According to information gathered the suspects was supposed to be out of the house in January 2014 after falling behind in bond payments. It is also stated that he was staying alone. The officials had come to evict him from the house.

All three were taken to Life Cosmos Hospital from the scene. Police are investigating and have opened a case of attempted murder.
