Recently the taxi drivers issues a statement saying that they want to bring peace into the table and they were allegedly invited to a meeting only to find that it was illegal.

“We want to assure the community of eMalahleni that peace will prevail in our city no matter what. There won’t be any disturbance of any kind and that is the assurance by the newly elected interim committee. The present committee will make sure that all operations will be carried out in a proper and honest manner. We will make sure that our customers are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. Together we can bring peace. We care for our customers and that is our motto,” added a statement from the local taxi association.
