Phola Pastors Forum held a march at Phola against crime, drugs and women abuse.

The event took place on August 10 with organisations including the South African National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence (SANCA), Community Policing Forum (CPF), Phola Business Forum, the Executive Mayor cllr Lindiwe Mabona Ntshalintshali and a member from the Police Service being in attendance.

A memorandum was also handed over to the executive Mayor.

“The march went exceptionally well, better than what we had anticipated, we are truly grateful for the turnout. The motive behind this march is that we cannot sit back as Pastors and watch our community be subjected to such things, we must take a stand,” said Mxolisi Buthelezi, organiser of the march.

He further added that there will be more marches of this nature as this is a phase initiative by Phola Pastors Forum
