High school student knocked off bike

A high school student was knocked off his motorbike by a motorist and the driver drove away from the scene.
On Thursday, August 13 Ruan Swanepoel was travelling on his motorbike in Beatty Avenue travelling past Life Cosmos Hospital when he was hit by a motorist.

Swanepoel fell off his motorbike and the driver of the car drove away from the scene.
He was then loaded into an ambulance and taken to the casuality rooms for treatment for his wrist.
Swanepoel was taken into theatre where doctors worked on his wrist.
“I am just glad my son is alright and is recovering,” said Mr Tiaan Swanepoel, Ruan’s father.
Swanepoel was discharged from hospital on Sunday, August 16 and has to see the doctor again on Wednesday, August 26.
