Three arrested after an armed robbery

Three suspects have been arrested after a business robbery at a garage near Ackerville.

Vosman police reported that on Tuesday, July 21 at about 12:00 at the renovated Engen Garage situated at Moses Kotane Street in Ferro Bank, Mr Muhle Ndlovu (23) of Extension 16 in KwaGuqa and employed as a security officer for Bravo Security based in Klipfontein had a bad experience.

Mr Ndlovu reported that he was posted for guarding the garage and was approached by an unknown man who did not speak English fluently and pointed a gun at him. He then forced him out of the storeroom container. When he came out he found another ten unknown men who took his jacket and tied his legs and hands with his shoe laces.

One of the men was left to guard him while the rest searched the yard as it is still under renovations. They then took his cell phone, a wheel barrow, a big grinder, jet hallows, two generators, stumpers, welding machine, electrical saw, electrical drill, rigid shifting, compact machine, hill tie drill, concrete poker, arterial used to renovate and other tools. The total value of the goods stolen is R147 700. The men then left the scene. Ndlovu then crawled to a steel wire where he managed to cut the shoe laces, he also managed to call his employer who reported the matter.

Some of the goods were recovered on Thursday, July 23 and three suspects were arrested.
