The Highveld Mall Skate and BMX Park Returns

The main focus of the Back to the Streets event is to encourage and develop the skills of amateur skaters and BMX tricksters with some really cool prizes and a programme of competitions and amateur jam sessions, but there will also be opportunities to see a show team of professionals in action.
While the skate and BMX park will offer spectators a chance to see the nail-biting craziness of professionals like Adam Woolf and Dean Marais, there will also be opportunities for the amateurs to interact with those professionals and get some tips from them on how to execute and cool up their own tricks.

You can’t try this at home.
Pro Ramps will be responsible for the construction of the park, which will be erected near the News Café entrance of the Highveld Mall Food Court using the Spur lawns and adjacent parking area. The idea is certainly to offer enthusiasts an opportunity to test their balance and flow in the same space and over the same challenging obstacles used by the professionals, but even if you don’t know what quarter pipes, banks, jump boxes, rails, hubbas and half pipes are, the commitment of street culture to creativity and freedom of expression should make for an exciting spectacle.
