(Video & Gallery) Chaos on N4 Highway
Utter chaos on N4 Highway and N12 Highway occurred on Monday morning as over 65 vehicles crashed due to heavy mist.
Mist embraced the highways around eMalahleni this morning. Chaos erupted as one by one cars, bakkies and heavy vehicles crashed into one another on the N12 and the N4.
It was havoc on the N4 on the way to Middelburg, metres away from the toll plaza as a 65-car pile up saw commuters come to a standstill. People stood in disbelieve and prayers could be heard through the thick mist.

Former Emalahleni Executive Mayor, Ms Linah Malatjie was also involved in one of the bumper bashes.
“I can’t believe this is happening. I am so grateful to God that no-one around me is seriously injured,” Malatjie said.
The highway is now open again and the big clean-up has started. Drivers are urged to drive with caution.
