Disgusting treatment of the elderly at bank in eMalahleni

Country-wide known bank at their Klipfontein Branch has forgotten the age of respecting the elderly.

Willie Swart writes:

I recently went into a well known local and country-wide known bank at their Klipfontein Branch.
Walking in I saw an old gentleman of 93 years standing in the enquiry counter queue holding onto his son’s arm. I asked them why they did not go to the pensioners / senior citizen counter their reply shocked me.

Quote: ‘The relative sign has been removed’.
I immediately went to see the branch manager who said that the bank must treat all customer the same, I said to her irrespective of age and she replied yes.

I believe the removal of the relevant sign was not a directive from this country-wide known bank, as the same bank in different branches in eMahlahleni do have a sign showing the elderly where to go to for assistance.

The age of respecting the elderly has certainly escaped this branch manager.

Do you think this type of treatment is acceptable towards the elderly? Comment below.
