Operation Fiela is a project executed nationwide, and continues to yield positive results by reducing the scourge of crime, seizing stolen and illicit goods in the country, as well as bringing wanted suspects to book, including people who are terrorising the community via their criminal deeds.
“At first we didn’t know what was going on. We just saw these police vehicles arrive and a dozen policemen jumping out and rushing to block off the roads,” a member of the community described the scene.
Earlier on Friday morning, SAPS and different departments met at Puma Rugby Stadium, where they planned the mass scourge through the city.
