It hadn’t been a few minutes after rain fell when the collision took place on January 29.
According to the driver of the truck, he was travelling along towards eMalahleni and traffic in the opposite lane was quite busy.
The SUV travelling in the right hand lane in the opposite direction failed to stop to avoid bumping a car in front of him and instead swerved out into the truck’s oncoming lane.
The truck collided with the side of the SUV pushing it into the nearby veld.
No serious injuries were reported as paramedics tended to the scene, followed by traffic services.
