Bankenveld Club House broken into, guard tied up

A security guard was left tied up as six armed men took several items from Bankenveld Club House.

A security guard said that on December 29 at 01:40 two unknown men entered the gate, and he called for back up when they ran away.
Later that morning six people returned up and they were armed. The security guard’s hands and feet were tied up, and the robbers broke into the club house.

After taking the items out of the club house they ran away when they were gone, the guard managed to untie himself and call the police.
The items that were stolen were liquor, cash and several golf items including shoes and embroidered Bankenveld Golf shirts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Pat Makhunyane from Witbank Detectives, on 083 879 5271.
