Warning: dogs stolen for easy money

Three Schnauzers were stolen last week.

Ms Elizabeth Krog’s three Schnauzers were stolen last week and she is desperately looking for them.

On Thursday, November 6 in Del Judor Extension 4, Krog made a terrible discovery that her one male and two female Schnauzers were gone.

She started her search for them that evening, but they did not return home.
By Friday morning, November 7 Krog did not know where to turn, so she phoned Witbank SPCA.
Witbank SPCA confirmed that a Schnauzer had been handed in, and Krog went to the SPCA to see if it was her dog.
When she arrived there, it was indeed her male Schnauzer.

“I was told at the SPCA that someone tried to sell him to a doggy parlour. Without asking questions the parlour owner took the dog from the person and took him to the SPCA,” said Krog.
Krog is still looking for the two females, which are sisters. One of them still has stitches in as she just had a big operation.
“I have heard that my two girls have been sold. I am worried sick about them. Please give them back to me,” said a desperate Krog.

Ms Elizabeth Krog’s male Schnauzer was found at Witbank SPCA, while her two females are still missing.

On Sunday, November 9 Krog’s daughter was driving around town, when she saw a man standing on the side of the street selling two small dogs in a plastic bowl.

Without thinking, she immediately stopped and bought the puppies from the person, as they did not have water or food.
After putting the advert on Facebook she immediately got homes for the dogs.

“I would like to extend a warning to all pet owners, to make sure your animals are safe. If you see someone selling a dog on the side of the road, just take it and hand it in at the SPCA so that the rightful owners can get their dog back,” said Krog.
