‘Shorty’ passes away

A familiar face to eMalahleni residents passed away over the weekend.

The dwarf known as ‘shorty’ that stood at the traffic light on Mandela bridge was hit by a car on Sunday, November 9.
It is still unclear how the accident happened.

To many he was a nuisance but for other motorists he will be surely missed.

A message from a motorist that got stuck in traffic had this to say about ‘shorty’: “to the guy making our day whenever we passed him on the bridge.  May you rest in peace and may you have the joy you so much deserve up in heaven.  Your pleasant rattle of your tin next to our car will be missed  but we know that where you are now you will no longer sleep cold or suffer to make ends meet.”
