In the previous week’s operations carried out by Witbank Police, 64 arrests took place.
The arrests include nine arrests for shoplifting, four for general theft, four for driving under the influence of alcohol and one for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Additionally there were 14 arrests for assault, two for intimidation, five for possession of suspected stolen property, three for armed robbery, two for trespassing and two for burglary.
Eight people were arrested for possession of drugs, while one person was arrested for fraud and a single arrest was made for forgery, there were also two arrests for dealing in liquor without a license.
