SoGutjhe Royal House hosted a spectacular event that united community members, dignitaries, and cultural enthusiasts.

The SoGutjhe Royal House hosted a spectacular Annual Heritage Day celebration at Mabande Sports Ground, bringing together community members, dignitaries, and cultural enthusiasts in a vibrant display of unity and diversity.

The event on Tuesday, September 24, showcased the rich cultural tapestry of SoGutjhe through electrifying performances by uGatsheni, Dr Nothembi Mkhwebane, Dlaw’mbana, and SoNkingana.

Traditional music, dance, and songs in indigenous languages left the audience in awe.

Ndabezitha Sipho SoMbali Mahlangu emphasized the importance of celebrating diversity and preserving heritage, saying, “We must celebrate our differences and preserve our heritage.”

He also highlighted critical issues affecting the community, such as protecting women and children against GBV and combating drug and alcohol abuse.

 

“As traditional leaders, let’s use all our platforms to assist our people. Let’s not keep quiet and hope for solutions; let’s work together with our government. We will win.”
