Van Wyk siblings gear up for Gamma glory

The Van Wyk siblings have MMA talent in spades and are hoping to bring home the gold

With all the focus South African MMA talent is receiving at the moment, and with the world UFC stage set to come to SA, eMalahleni can be proud of the exceptional MMA warriors that are emerging from the ranks right here in the City of Coal.

In the scorching hotbed of MMA, a trio of tantalizing talents is emerging to take the world by storm.

Siblings Kaitlyn (17), Bayliam (15), and Amber van Wyk (12) are becoming the embodiment of MMA’s finest – forged in the fire of dedication, discipline, and downright devastation on the mat and in the cage.

These young warriors have been battle-hardened in the crucible of combat sports, with parents who instilled a love for the sweet science of martial arts through Tae Kwon Do and now branching out into becoming masters of all things martial arts.

Theirs is a tale of sweat-drenched training sessions, razor-sharp strategy, and an unyielding quest for victory.

To excel in this sport, one needs to possess lightning-quick footwork, devastating knock-out power, submission-savvy grappling skills, a cast-iron chin, and a mind forged from steel. The Van Wyk siblings have it all in spades.

They have continuously excelled on the world stage, as well as at home, with all three siblings having an array of medals and trophies to show off their successes.

Their team has previously brought home the bronze at the Global Association Mixed Martial Arts (Gamma) World Championships, and this year they have their eyes on the gold.

But their journey to the Gamma World Championships in Jakarta isn’t without its challenges.

They need your support to take on the world’s best. Sponsor the next generation of South African MMA superstars and unleash the fury of South African MMA – because they don’t know what we know.

To sponsor this talented trio, contact Lesley-Anne van Wyk Mpumalanga Gamma secretary on 074 625 5688.
