Witbank Arts Campus delivers ground-breaking musical production

The evening brought together a diverse community creating a social cohesion and creative expression.

The Witbank Arts Campus delivered a captivating production called ‘The Sense of Revelation’ to the people of eMalahleni.

The evening showcased a diverse array of musical performances including drama, dance, music, poetry, and vocal artistry on Thursday, September 12.

“The event brought together a diverse community, fostering a unique platform for social cohesion and creative expression. By pushing boundaries and questioning the status quo, ‘The Sense of Revelation’ encouraged attendees to re-examine their purpose and challenge conventional norms,” Mary Nkosi, who organised the event, shared.

Producer and institution director, Marie Lombard, said, “The cast’s unwavering dedication and passion shone through, making this production truly unforgettable. Their commitment to the craft was inspiring. This production served as a poignant reminder that theatre has the transformative power to unite and inspire. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share this experience with our audience.”

Production manager, Fortune Mogwaneng, explained that the production provided invaluable lessons that will inform and enhance their future endeavours. “We’re eager to apply these insights and continue pushing creative boundaries.”

Playwrights director, Tshepiso Mamaila, said, “This production reaffirmed the power of theatre to unite, inspire, and spark essential dialogue. The audience’s positive response validates our artistic vision.”
