Khoza sisters shine as Miss Youth Unified SA finalists

Khoza sisters doing the most as Miss Youth Unified SA pageants while raising people’s awareness about spine health and the effects of spine illnesses.

Nomfundo Khoza (27), and her sister, Anele Khoza (14), are making waves as finalists in the Miss Youth Unified SA pageant.
The pageant is planned to take place on Saturday, August 31.

These outstanding young ladies will utilise their platform to campaign for important causes such as education, anti-bullying, body acceptance, youth empowerment, and disability awareness.
Anele, a strong supporter of keeping girls in school, has thoroughly enjoyed her first pageant experience, learning vital skills in self-confidence, communication, leadership, and self-development.

Her ambition is to bring young people together, particularly teenagers, to support and care for one another.
Nomfundo, who lives with a chronic spine condition, osteoarthritis, and minor scoliosis, is dedicated to promoting overall self-development, youth empowerment, and disability awareness.

“I use pageants to raise people’s awareness about spine health and the effects of spine illnesses. Pageants have also become a part of my healing path because I want to inspire young people with disabilities to believe that they can achieve anything if they set their minds to it and put in the work. In addition, I aim to help young people rediscover themselves and seek holistic self-development. This is my second pageant, and so far, I’ve liked the adventure and learned a lot about personal branding, self-development, and networking abilities,” said Nomfundo.

The sisters have collaborated on several community service projects, including pad donations, Instagram live sessions on women’s and mental health, and a soup kitchen operation that served 60 people in need.
Their path demonstrates the power of self-development, empowerment, and compassion.

As they prepare for the pageant finale, they continue to inspire others with their commitment to making a positive difference.
