Happyness’s humble beginnings to spinning success

eMalahleni, get ready to be blown away by Happyness the upcoming DJ on fire.

eMalahleni’s
own DJ Happyness Nkambul (20), is rapidly becoming a force to be reckoned with within the music industry, thanks to her unique blend of afro tech and amapiano.

She’s only 20 years old and has already played at several shows, earning praise for her catchy beats and fascinating onstage personality.

Happyness’ passion for DJing began in early 2022, but her road was not without obstacles. Despite initial setbacks, she persevered and sought guidance from the industry who served such as Dr Mduda.

Her big break came with a gig at Value Meat, which captivated eMalahleni and sparked a spate of performances.

She finds inspiration in heavyweight industry figures such as Felo Le Tee and Uncle Waffles. She is also a lover of amapiano and has just discovered the music of Cowboii and Kmat DJ.

Happyness ensures she plays music she enjoys, singing and dancing along to set the tone. She prioritizes professionalism, opting for energy drinks over alcohol and ensuring adequate rest before performances.

Her notes shift toward greater female representation in the industry and cites TikTok as a valuable platform for staying current with new music releases and trends.

“Take that first step, ignore the naysayers, and embrace your passion, with determination and hard work, dreams can come true,” Happyness said.

Happyness is organising a Halloween celebration and cooperating with renowned artists. She wants to play at more gigs and events and become a household name in the music industry.

DJ Happyness is a rising star in the music industry, boasting a distinct sound and appealing stage presence. With her passion, determination, and hard work, she is certain to achieve her goals and inspire others to do the same.
