Gateway Church continues to feed hundreds in need

'We feed about 200 to 250 people every Thursday'

Gateway International Church persists in its mission to feed the needy in the community. Every Thursday, without fail, the church opens its doors to provide hot meals to disadvantaged individuals, including the homeless, unemployed, and students from surrounding areas.

The weekly feeding programme, which serves over 200 individuals each week, embodies the church’s unwavering commitment to ensuring everyone has access to nourishing food.

The programme’s success hinges on the dedication of volunteers like Innocentia Ncube and the ‘abo Mama bo mthandazo’ group, who tirelessly prepare, serve, and distribute meals with thoughtfulness and compassion.

“We feed about 200 to 250 people every Thursday, ensuring they get a warm meal and bread to take home. Our main challenge is growing, as we know that unemployment is rising and people are hungry. We need more support,” Innocentia said.
