Catch a bass for cash at Witbank Dam

All anglers are invited to take part in the most electrifying event of the season.

Get ready to cast your lines, set your hooks, and immerse yourself in the thrill of the chase because it’s time for the Witbank Bassmasters competition on Saturday, October 14 at Witbank Dam (Witbank Yacht Club).

Whether you’re a seasoned pro with years of experience or a newcomer looking to make a splash in the angling scene, this event promises something for everyone.

There will be two skins from 07:00 to 12:00 and 12:45 to 16:00. Who will rise to the top, claiming the title of the best bass angler?

A cash prize of R1 000 per session for the biggest bag (two fish) is ready to be caught. There will also be cash prizes for the second and third places.

Anglers may use a small craft or fish from the bank [note there is a launch fee at Witbank Yacht Club (WYC).

Entry fee is R100 per angler which can be paid at the captain’s meeting at 06:45 at WYC.
