Witbank High School invites several companies to join them for career day

Career expo at Witbank High School helps learners to make the right career choices

Explaining the career expo day, Grade 10 Representative Council of Learners (RCL) Senamile Sibanyoni (16) said that she believes that career day is important as it allows learners exposure to different career fields.

The career expo at Witbank High School took place on Friday, August 18 at the school.

“We were given information about careers that are of interest to us as learners. In the future I want to become a psychologist and the career day will help me learn more about the particular field,” Senamile said.

Shaun Mkhosana (17) Grade 10 RCL mentioned that he likes career day as it is all about information about what career is suitable for learners based on the subjects the learner is good at.

“I want to be a businessman and change the world, I understand that entrepreneurship is difficult but, that is my dream,” Shaun said.

He went on to say that he is currently a certified businessman and a self-made entrepreneur and hopes to learn more today.

The career day also allows the companies and institutions to inform the students of what they each require for positions in their companies.
