Two hijackings reported in one day

One vehicle was hijacked in Tasbet Park and the other in Old Coronation.

Two vehicles were reportedly hijacked in eMalahleni over the past weekend.

The first vehicle was hijacked in Tasbet Park.

According to the report, the 28-year-old victim received a call to collect two clients at Allenby Street near the Central Business District (CBD).

The victim allegedly drove to the location and when he arrived, the victim found two males who allegedly climbed into the vehicle.

On Sunday, July 1 the victim drove the two males to Tasbet Park using Klipfontein Road. It is believed the two males directed him to Simfonie Street.

When the driver arrived, the two males allegedly overpowered him and stole the white Renault Kiger vehicle.

Later that day, yet another hijacking was reported in Old Coronation.

It is alleged that the 37-year-old victim was in the area at around 02:00 to visit his brother.

It is believed that whilst the victim was stopped by two males who threatened him with a firearm.

The victim supposedly stopped the vehicle. It is alleged that the suspects ordered the victim out of his vehicle.

According to the report, the suspects fled the scene with the victim’s white Kia Pegas.
