Onverwacht Pre-School learners visit Kriel Police Station

Constable Angel Makubu informed learners about the mission and vision of the South African Police Service.

Members of Kriel Police Station received a warm visit from Onverwacht Pre-School learners.

The learners received orientation based on the duties of the police and how police officers handle and deal with complaints.

Station commander Lieutenant Colonel Phina Seloane, support head, social crime prevention, communications officer and other members orientated the learners on different duties and responsibilities of the police.

Before educating the learners about the responsibilities of the police, Constable Angel Makubu informed learners about the mission and vision of the South African Police Service.

She outlined the process of receiving a complaint, dispatching the complaint to a patrol vehicle using a two-way radio as well as docket handling and detaining a suspect.

Learners were further educated about the dangers of bullying and encouraged to report any form of crime to their teachers, parents and police.
