Diplomas galore for teachers of local schools

It was all about the teachers at this year's Academic Awards hosted at Laerskool Kragbron.

The Academic Awards have recently been held to celebrate teachers doing outstanding work in their fields of teaching.

On March 2, teachers gathered at Laerskool Kragbron to receive their diplomas.

In the subjects achieving 100 per cent category, Audeamus School teachers received eight diplomas, Ed-U-College received 11 diplomas, and Elukhanyisweni Secondary received 20 diplomas in teaching.

Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog received 12 diplomas, Hoër Tegniese Skool teachers received 21 diplomas for different subjects.

Witbank Combined Christian School received seven diplomas, and Witbank High School received seven diplomas in total.

The best-performing school in mathematics was Ed-U-College with an average of 54 per cent. Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog was the best in physical sciences with an average of 63 per cent and was also the school with the highest number of Bachelors.

Witbank Combined Christian School has been awarded as the most improved school as the pass rate has improved by 13.61 per cent.
