More than 1 120 candidates rewrite mathematics and mathematical literacy P2 in eMalahleni

The Department of Basic Education (DBE) granted permission for rewrites after reviewing the request from the provincial education department and determining that there were valid reasons for the learners to miss the examinations.

The Department of Basic Education (DBE) has decided to give candidates from various schools in eMalahleni a chance to rewrite missed exams in November due to KwaGuqa Extensions community protest actions.

Around 1 127 students from seven different schools in eMalahleni did not complete the final National Senior Certificate Mathematics Paper 2 examinations.

The National Senior Certificate examinations will conclude on Thursday, December 8, when the candidates sit for their final paper, which will begin at 09:00 in all centers for both Mathematics P2 and Mathematical Literacy P2.
