If the shoes fit, walk for the Bongi Bandana Foundation

The Bettie Bandana Foundation started the Bongi Bandana Foundation for men with cancer and took to the streets on November 26 with a Fun Walk/Run for ‘Bongi’.

Walkers ‘walked’ the way forward in support of the Bongi Bandana Foundation this past weekend.

The Bettie Bandana Foundation, especially its founder, Retha van Greunen, is no stranger to eMalahleni with its exciting and recent Pink Walk to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The foundation made its way to the blue side of the spectrum when it started the Bongi Bandana Foundation for men with cancer and kicked off on the walking ground with a Fun Walk/Run on November 26 for ‘Bongi’.

Saartjie van der Nest, Mina Lourens, Jhay Botha and Jackie Potgieter from Solidariteit Helpende Hand.

The ‘walking’ team commenced with their action at the ‘Solidariteit Ons Winkel’ shop, and the route was filled with laughter for those not prepared for the ‘route-beast’ and conversation between supporting individuals.

The ‘walking’ group is ready for the fun on November 26.

If the laughter in the street did not convince you how fun the event was, dust your walking shoes off and wait for the announcement for the next one to experience it yourself.
