Papers and plastics inside a yard causes problems

A resident in Ext 10 is irritated by the presence of papers and plastics in his yard.

Mr Modubu who stays at Christiaan De Wet Street alleges that papers from a building project near his home landed in his yard and swimming pool.

“I approached the company about the papers and plastics that were all over my yard and even hung on the thorn wires, the electric fence and the swimming pool. I reported the matter at 09:00, but by 13:00 papers and plastics were not removed until later and I had to remove them myself,” says Mr Modubu.

He added to says that a lady from the company phoned him and wanted him to pledge to them that nothing will happen to their employees and he could not understand what they had anticipated would happen to their employees since he did not understand, why he needed to pledge for the mess that was created by them.

Mr Modubu had thought that the company would simply come over to see the mess and fix it.

A questionnaire was sent to the company by WITBANK NEWS. They acknowledged knowing about the matter and were asked to respond in writing, but they have not done so yet.
