The farewell kicked off with a show-off by the attending matriculants of their attire for the special event.

Families gathered on the pavilion to see and capture the special moment their matriculants showed off with their dazzling attire.

Smiles filled the atmosphere alongside pride from parents for their growing children, saying farewell to their school.

Mr Johan Oosthuizen was the perfect example of a beaming father on the day for his matriculant daughter in emerald green, Megan.

“Keep building on the foundations laid,” he said to his daughter with a smile.

Her mother, Chantal, looked at her proudly and said: “We are very blessed to have such a beautiful daughter. She always makes us proud.”

Apart from proud parents, the matric farewell also showed the strength of friendship with matriculant friends coming together with hugs, laughter, and compliments.

The young ladies twirled in their dresses with smiles, and the young gentlemen fixed their ties in style.

“I am looking forward to the farewell and think it is a good way to end your school years,” said Megan Oosthuizen.
