Ladies Soccer League takes a break

The Hollywoodbets Ladies Soccer League reported that the Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies team look like they were never away following the unsuccessful defence of their Cosafa Women’s Champions League title; Sundowns have returned to league action with a bang.

Sundowns have won four of their games since returning from the regional showpiece, with their latest victory coming against City Lads this past weekend.

Sundowns won 3-0 at the Westburn Oval. JVW moved into second after beating Durban Ladies 3-0 in Durban.

TUT FC was handed a 3-2 defeat by Bloem Celtics.

UWC also surprisingly dropped points, only able to draw 2-2 at home against Thunderbirds.

At the other end of the table, Golden Ladies remain rooted to the foot of the table after being beaten 3-1 at First Touch while Tsunami Queens suffered a narrow 1-0 away defeat at UJ.

Elsewhere, Richmond beat Vasco da Gama 4-0 in the Western Cape and Ma-Indies Ladies return from Mpumalanga with three points after beating Coal City Wizards in a 3-2 thriller.

Local side Coal City Wizards will play their next fixture an away game against Golden Ladies on Saturday, September 17.

The Super League returns in mid-September. Banyana-Bayana’s international commitments mean that the Hollywoodbets Super League will take a break until mid-September.
