Sticks are just a part of the game – HTS boys hit the ball out of the park.

Local hockey team represents school and district in provincial league and wins.

Every hockey season has its winners, and the u.16 boys hockey team from Hoër Tegniese Skool (HTS) claimed their spot as reining kings.  

 

The team has been giving their all in the games and is proud to be at the prime of their league.

 

The hockey team took part in the Nkangala league, where they won and proceeded to the Mpumalanga league playoffs.

 

Backing down was not a part of their to-do list, so they continued to show their star-quality techniques.

Morné Jansen van Rensburg, Dihan Harmse, Daniël van Wyk, Juan van Wyk, Xander van Niekerk, Nathan Krige, Lwazi Nchabeleng, Deangelo Campbell, Adriaan Booysen, Zane Duvenage, Dewald Oosthuizen, Jeandre Schoombie, Amogelang, Lehan Roux and Rich Thabang. They were led by a phenomenal coach, Mr Kobus Dörfling and his assistant Mr Toi Roux.

 

The school recorded that in their game against Hoërskool Nelspruit, the team won 1-0.

 

All the hard work did not go to waste as the team won the provincial league, claiming their place as the champions of the league.

 

The school could not hold back their excitement as they were proud of the team that represented them very well.

 

The school further said that, “A little progress each day adds up to a BIG result”.
