Police move as fast as a bullet to arrest a suspect in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition
The suspect is expected to appear in Witbank Magistrate’s Court
Like a bullet through a barrel, the police took quick action in eMalahleni yesterday when they arrested a man for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Police members made their way to the 40-year-old man’s house after receiving information that he was seen in possession of a firearm.
Upon their arrival, they asked him about the firearm, and he allegedly informed them that it is hidden inside his mattress.
The police searched and found the firearm with its serial number filed off along with live ammunition, and a small plastic bag that contained more ammunition.
The man was arrested immediately.
The suspect is expected to appear in Witbank Magistrate’s Court and bite the bullet for his actions.
