Robbers don’t think twice to pull out a firearm just to get a cellphone in Mandela Street
A robbery with firearm allegedly occurred when two women were robbed of their cellphones while crossing Mandela Street in Witbank.
Two women were allegedly robbed by two unknown men while crossing Mandela Street.
The two victims were allegedly crossing the road on June 8 at about 18:30 when two unknown males came out of the bushes.
It is believed that the men pointed them with a firearm and told them to sit down and not look at them. The men allegedly took the cellphones of the victims and ran away.
The community is warned that robbers may not think twice to pull out a firearm for a cellphone – remain aware of this danger when walking on roads.
